Summer is Here!

Where have I been?? Well let's see a lot of ball games, end of school, and lots of good ole' summertime fun.  I got a new job.  I'm going to teach a college course this summer, super excited about that!  It's been a rough job market for a teacher out there, everyone in general.  I think I'm going to really like it!  The pool is finally opened after about two weeks and a whole lotta money to get it crystal clear.  My poor hubby is about to pull out his hair.

First of all this cute little face has been keeping us on the go!  He plays ball 2 nights a week.  So far they haven't won but we had a marathon practice and this might be the week for a win!  Come on boys!  Then he just got accepted into an Excell class for third grade.  He's super excited about his teacher.  Mom is thrilled.  He is reading between 4.2 - 6.0 in AR.  He was one of the top readers in his class.  He is my child who is always asking questions about everything.   He loves to build things and take them apart.  He told me if he can't play ball he will be an engineer.  I couldn't be any prouder of him.

Last day of school, don't they look thrilled!

My DD won an American Legion award for her essay about patriotism.  She won out of all the other Fourth grade students.  I was so proud of her.  The teacher read aloud the essay at the awards program, I got all choked up.  I may share that with you later.  It's not very often that your kids interalize, then write about what you're trying to teach them.  She received a check for twenty-five dollars and a chance to win at state level.  She is also on Honor Roll, drama club and was top AR reader in her class.   Way to go baby girl!!! She will be in fifth grade next year.

Pool's open!!!

That's it for now, I'll be back with more pictures of my home.  I've decorated for the 4th all decked out American girl prim style!
