Whatcha working on Wednesday!

Hello, I thought I would join in in some of the fun of this daily blog title that is so popular. As you can see packing is in full swing with the boxes so that's the first thing I've been working on. I hate boxes! Grrr.... Anyway, I had painted this little sign and I thought I could just freehand it, so not! I guess I'm not as talented as many of you with the painting. I need a good stencil. Anyway, I had this chalkboard paint lying around and I figured why not give it a try. My DH sanded the paint off for me and I started over. I figure I can write anything I want or keep it the same with the chalkboard paint. If you want to read more about that click here. I'll be sanding it and showing you the final result later.

Plus I've been decluttering and taking things to the thrift store. Even though we are military we are planning to move most of it ourselves. So I ask myself is this worth moving?? Do I really like it and want to keep it? If the answer is no than I just move it to the donate pile. My question for you today is how many of you declutter on a regular basis? Do you have a set time for Fall cleaning or seasonal cleaning? I want all of you to know how much I appreciate all of your comments. It means so much to me, I'm just so tickled that I have 76 followers!!! Wow, that's so neat.

Take care, I'll be back soon with more pics of the house and the finished chalkboard.
I've been having trouble moving pictures etc. so hopefully I can figure out what's been changed soon.

  1. Good Morning Carey and how organized are you!!!! Just look at that neat stack of boxes. I pray this move is smooth and uneventful..well, except for moving into the new place..that's a FUN EVENT in itself...

I just purged lots of things that I have packed away - lots of little country, primitive decorative items that went in boxes when we brought something new into the house and it has built up considerably so TODAY is a huge rummage sale with nothing but beautiful decorative items.
    Wish me luck.

  2. Carey, wow what an organized lady you are for the move. I declutter on a regular basis plus I do fall and spring cleaning at the beginning of each season. I guess you could say I border on OCD when it comes to the house.

Can't wait to see you moved into your new place and how you decorate.

  3. Hello Carey, so glad that you stopped by! It is always nice to meet a fellow Hoosier.

Packing looks like so much fun! I love your new kitchen. It is a little modern, but there is so much you can do with it.

A dirty kitchen is calling my name. I will be back to visit when I have some more time.

    Have a great day!
